Awakening the Conscious Body Summer Retreat

8.31 - 9.2.2024
CASTKILL MOUNTAINS, UPSTATE NY

Restore, Awaken, Release

Over the course of 3 days, your conscious, embodied self will be awakened with multiple, extensive DMT and Authentic Movement workshops, topped with morning and evening yoga and meditation, soundbaths, and gatherings around the fire.
Your body will be nourished with delicious local, vegetarian, organic meals.
Your mind will have time to rest, reflect, and revitalize through hikes in nature and dips in the local watering hole.
Your spirit will be soothed by basking in community with yourself, with others, and with Mother Nature

The Retreat will take place at Arts on Site Retreat Center in Kerhonkson, NY. The AOS Retreat Center is located on 20 acres of gorgeous land in the Catskill Mountains, complete with hiking trails, watering holes and falls.

Accommodations feature an assortment of beautifully outfitted, 100% waterproof Yurts, Canvas Tents and an A-Frame Cabin, all with real floors and real beds. A true Glamping experience, either in your very own private yurt or cabin, or sharing with 1 or 2 others maximum. The bathrooms, located in the main Retreat center building, just steps from the various accommodations, feature 2 large bath houses with spacious toilets, sinks and showers.

The workshops will take place in a beautiful, large dance studio that opens out onto the land, so we can dance with the trees (and we might even go out into the woods and actually dance with the trees ;))

“Through artful ritual, compassionate presence, and a deep understanding of Authentic Movement, Giulia created a supportive and fertile container for accessing my embodied wisdom and connecting with others. I returned home from the retreat feeling seen and held in my difficulties and more prepared to move forward and let go of old stories that have been holding me back.”

- Sophia D.

Being seen, seeing oneself, seeing another, movers and witnesses grow toward this vital experience of wholeness, because of consciously embodied surrender in relationship with another being, with their inner life, with collective bodies, and with that which is invisible
— Janet Adler

What past Retreat Participants have said…

“My awareness of myself and my environment has been so beautifully open in the days following our weekend together. I find myself meeting each moment with more compassion and each breath with more release. I truly do not know if I have ever felt so seen as I did during this process.”

- Emily H.

“My experience was beautifully dualistic in that I returned to myself and by doing so, connected profoundly with the other. Giulia's deep reverence for the practice as well as her intentional and expansive capacity to witness and hold incited courage and honesty in the group as we dove into Authentic Movement.”

- Adele F.

“The retreat allowed me to get some distance from the hustle and bustle of daily life and tune in to myself and my body on a much deeper level. Being immersed in the experience, and the supportive atmosphere built when working with an intimate group over a longer period of time, allowed me to more easily 'drop in' when it was time to move. It allowed me to find a quiet mind more quickly so that I could really listen to my body and embrace the experience.”

- Catherine M.
